Factory Originality - JNQ&Co. X 333Photo.com

The majority of the cars I tend to shoot usually have an extensive list of modifications: lowered suspension, larger & wider wheels, big turbos… you name it. I believe that car enthusiasts are able to show their personality and individuality by customizing the different components of their vehicle, by replacing “stock” factory pieces with aftermarket products.

For Jean-Philippe, it’s the complete opposite. “Ferrari… McLaren… Maserati…?” is what people proclaim as they stare awe when they see him driving down the boulevard. Originality comes strait from the Lotus factory in Britain. With only 2000 of these produced every year since January 2010, this “2009 performance car of the Year” are few and far between; especially in the custom-order pearl-white colorway.

I did this shoot with Evan Shuster on behalf of 333Photo, which specializes in commercial photography, web & graphic design, and overall branding. Be sure to follow the link to see the final photos, as well “behind the scenes” photos I took below.

One photo of my very own Steel Blue E46.  Still lots of work to be done.
Many updates to the blog once I can find time to get things rolling.

David & Jacqueline - Wedding Shoot Preview

Years ago when I first picked up a camera, it was purely for my own pleasure. I didn’t really have any “live” subjects to take photos of, so I turned to my passion in cars.  Simple enough: a boxy piece of metal, which sits immobile in a parking lot, giving me freedom to experiment.

Fast forward a few years later (realization that I’m getting old just kicked in), I’ve been given many opportunities to capture amazing events, such as engagement parties and weddings. I feel so blessed being able to create these “frozen-in-time” memories, which the couple and their families will be able to remember forever.

Yesterday I was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which combines both my passion for Automotive Photography and Wedding Photography.

Jacqueline & David (also known as “Super Dave”) met several years ago through the automotive community. Through the weekly meets at Julep to the different Volkswagen/Euro events, sharing this interest brought them closer and closer together. Their passion for Volkswagens is only surpassed by the love that they have for each other. Simply being around them, you feel very comfortable in their presence, and sense the affection they have for one another.  And looking at their cars, you can very clearly see that they put their heart & soul into them, and to their relationahip.

David also just recently opened up shop, and you can visit them at StanceDubs.

Congrats again to the amazing couple, and thank you for this very unique opportunity.  I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I had pleasure taking them.

More after the jump… (believe me, you’ll want to see these)

Reyem & Cheryl - Wedding Shoot

A little over 5 years ago, I witnessed Reyem & Cheryl exchanged vows at the altar. Since then, not only have I seen their love grow for one another, but I am also blessed to see their family grow as well.

Reyem & Cheryl asked if I would do the honours of re-shooting their wedding photos, which I gladly accepted.  After 5 years and 3 children, they continue to be the couple to be modelled after (and not to mention, look stunning at the same time), which can only be attributed by the relationship that they have.

Thank you Cher & Rey for allowing me to retake these photos of you!

Album can also be seen & shared on JNQ&Co.’s Engagement & Wedding album.

EUROKRACY 2012 - Event Coverage

For those of you who are not following JNQ&Co.’s Facebook page, you might have missed the event album I uploaded a few days after the show.

Big thanks to Rick, Jesse & Sergio who organized the event, to allow me full-access to shoot for them.  There was waaaay too many quality cars & cool people to take photos of, not to mention the organized events (limbo, burn-out competition) for me to take photos of.

Enjoy the samples below, and see the rest of the album here.
